COVID 19: New entry rules to Brazil

From 30/12, according to Ordinance nº 630, dated December 17, 2020, travelers arriving in Brazil from abroad by air must complete the Traveler's Health Declaration (DSV) and present a negative test for Covid-19.

Traveler Health Statement (DSV)

Before boarding a flight to Brazil, the traveler must present to the airline companies the e-mail proving the completion of the Traveler's Health Statement - DSV (printed or digital).

This Health Statement aims to assess the health situation of the traveler before boarding.

By completing the DSV, travelers also agree to comply with the sanitary measures adopted by the Brazilian authorities during the period in which he/she is in Brazil. Failure to comply with the rules will imply civil, administrative and criminal liability for the offender, and, in the case of foreigners, repatriation or immediate deportation and incapacity of asylum application.

Travellers who don't present a completed DSV will not be allowed to enter Brazil.

RT-PCR Test

Before boarding to Brazil, the traveler must present to the airlines a report of the RT-PCR test with negative/non-reactive result for the new coronavirus.

The RT-PCR test must be performed up to 72 hours before boarding the flight to Brazil.

Travellers who don't present a RT-PCR test report with negative result or if the report of this test has resulted positive / reagent for the new coronavirus will not be allowed to enter Brazil.

 

The Brazilian Government will start to require a negative RT-PCR test to enter Brazil from December 30, 2020 with a maximum validity of 72 hours.
